Reclaiming Our Place: A National Summit for NFP Reform and Renewal

This national event will directly address the critical sustainability and market positioning challenges facing not for profit (NfP) organisations delivering human services.

 

For more than two decades, NFP organisations have steadily lost market share in the delivery of human services to for-profit providers. While the sector has consistently promoted its unique value - being mission-driven, values-based, deeply embedded in communities and committed to supporting the most disadvantaged - these strengths alone have not been enough to reverse the trend.

 

This event seeks to confront these dynamics and explore actionable strategies for securing the long-term viability and leadership role of the NFP sector.

 

This workshop will aspire to bring together leaders from across the NfP sector, along with academics, experts, government representatives, and policy specialists. Together, we will explore the underlying reasons for this market shift, build a stronger case for the role of NfPs in human services, and test practical options for the future. Our discussions will span national, sectoral, and organisational strategies.
